Introduction
The GETRO type „T“, maintenance free, plain bearing consists of three layers:

1) a steel back,

2) a 0,08 inch - 0,14 inch thick fused sintered bronze layer, and

3) a 0,009 inch - 0,01 inch thick sliding layer made of PTFE with lead. The pores of the bronze are completely filled up with PTFE creating a very strong bond. The type „T“ bearing design has high compression strength and good conductivity. The GETRO type „DUR“ plain bearings and sliding elements utilize a polyethyleneterephtalate and other polymers. The GETRO type „T“ is also available with a bronze back, for higher corrosion resistance – type „TB“.
